The Compendium's Workshop

Welcome to The Compendium's Workshop!

You can use pages on this site to practice formatting, store works in progress, or simply have a place to put drafts so you can show others and get feedback before posting to the main site.

Note that joining this site is not necessary. All users of Wikidot should be able to create workshops with ease.

REMEMBER:

  • When making edits, always use the "SAVE" function and NOT "save draft". Using "save draft" will retain a digital copy of the edits without actually changing the page itself. This can cause problems when attempting to make a new workshop.
  • Anyone can create and edit their pages here. You do not need to join this site, but you must be a Wikidot platform member.
  • Please note that workshop pages are automatically edit-locked. Default workshop pages can only be edited by their creator. If you would like to collaborate with other writers, please read the information on co-authoring below.
  • Please don't create too many workshop pages. You can make as many workshop pages as you need, but we recommend that you keep the number reasonable. You can store multiple drafts on your sandbox by using the tab code further down this page.
  • Staff reserve the right to remove material that violates our site rules and guidelines.
  • We recommend that you title your workshop page(s) with your username, or something else unique. It's easier if people can tell who the sandbox belongs to by reading the title.
  • Rating modules are disabled on the sandbox. While the module will appear if the code is present, no one can vote on them.
  • If you would like to make a collaborative workshop, simply add a "collab:" to the front of your pages' URL. An example can be found here.
  • For more information on workshop permissions and how to share workshops for co-authored works, please contact lavenderbloodstains or another member of site staff.

To create a new workshop page, please enter your desired URL into the box below.

Tabs:
To add tabs to your workshop so you can have multiple drafts, use the following code:

[[tabview]]
[[tab Title 1]]
Text goes here. Pretend this is a draft.
[[/tab]]
[[tab Title 2]]
More text in another tab! You can add lots of tabs.
[[/tab]]
[[/tabview]]

If done correctly, you should get something like this:

Text goes here. Pretend this is a draft.

Additionally, check out Wikidot Syntax to figure out how to do cool stuff like bolding and changing text color.
